Protocols for best results
We’ve put together some helpful tips for preparation and aftercare. Follow these suggestions to maximize safety and efficiency before your procedure and comfort and efficacy after.
Laser Hair Removal
PRE TREATMENT
- Avoid direct sunlight 4-6 weeks prior to treatment.
- Shave the treatment site to eliminate any surface hair that could interfere with the treatment (24 hours prior).
- Remove make-up.
POST TREATMENT
- Avoid direct sunlight 4-6 weeks after treatment.
- Wear sunscreen on all treated/exposed areas (face, neck, etc).
- Avoid any type of tanning for at least 4 weeks.
- Do not wax, pluck, or shave prior to treatment—only shave before treatment.
- Wait 6-8 between treatments.
- Return for a touch-up in 3-4 months.
IPL Photorejuvenation
PRE TREATMENT
- Avoid direct sunlight 4-6 weeks prior to treatment.
- Clean the skin to remove any make-up or any tinted moisturizer.
POST TREATMENT
- Avoid direct sunlight 4-6 weeks after treatment.
- Wear sunscreen on treated or exposed areas (face, neck, etc).
- Wait 3 weeks between treatments.
ClearLift
PRE TREATMENT
- Clean the skin to remove perfumes, cosmetics or sunscreen.
POST TREATMENT
- Use UVA/UVB sunblock in the daytime.
- Wait 6 weeks between treatments.
Venus Viva (Microneedling)
PRE TREATMENT
- Clean the skin to remove any perfume, cosmetics, or sunscreen.
POST TREATMENT
- Wear a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30.
- Cleanse with a gentle product like ZO Gentle Cleanser.
- Avoid products containing retinol or acid for at least 2 weeks
- Avoid touching face for 24 hours.
- Cleanse and keep face clean for 24 hours.
Microblading
PRE TREATMENT
- Do not work out 24 hours before procedure.
- Avoid sun and tanning one week prior to procedure.
- No aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Advil/Ibuprofen 48 hours before procedure.
- No alcohol for 48 hours prior.
- Discontinue Retin at least 4 weeks prior—no tinting 1 week prior.
POST TREATMENT
- Gently cleanse brow area using a fragrance-free gel and water.
- Apply ointment with a swab on slightly damp brows.
- Do not rub, pick, or scratch treated area.
- Avoid direct sun and tanning beds for a minimum of 4 weeks.
- Avoid sleeping on your face/brows for 10 days.
